Obituary for Mattie Reid Crooms
Mattie Crooms passed away on January 11, 2018, from a battle with cancer. She was born on July 15, 1936, to Lonnie and Tera Barrington. She retired as a division sales manager from AT&T with 38 years of service. She has a Missouri real estate broker’s license and worked part time in the Kansas City area. Mattie was past president of ABWA and a member of Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce.
Mrs. Crooms was preceded in death by her parents, Lonnie and Tera Barrington.
She is survived by her husband, Jack Crooms of Leesville, LA
Brother: Lonnie Barrington and wife Barbara of Leesville, LA
Nieces: Sandra Richmond and husband Dale and Trish Bennett and husband Randy all of Leesville, LA
Nephews: Michael Barrington and wife Mary and Danny Barrington and wife Michelle all of Leesville, LA
and a host of great and great-great nieces and nephews.
The family of Mrs. Crooms will hold a private memorial service. She requested that there be no public funeral service and in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your favorite charity.
