Obituary for Patricia Ann Poe Robinson
Funeral services for Patricia Ann Poe Robinson will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 31, 2022, at LaCamp Pentecostal Church with Reverends James Hebert and Calvin Robinson officiating and Nathan Smith speaking at the graveside. Burial will follow in LaCamp Pentecostal Church Cemetery under the direction of Jeane’s Funeral Service. Pallbearers will be Nathan Smith, David Smith, Eric Wead, Billy Smith, Haden Robinson, Tim Poe, Dawson Nolen, and Waymon “Slugger” Robinson. Honorary pallbearer will be Jed Lane Wead. A visitation will be held at the church on Monday, May 30th from 6:00 to 10:00 p.m.
Patricia was born August 5, 1947, in Pineville, Louisiana and went to be with her Lord on May 29, 2022, in Leesville, Louisiana at the age of 74. She began working selling insurance for Magnolia Life before becoming a substitute teacher. Then, Patricia worked as a paraprofessional at Pitkin High School for fourteen years. She enjoyed listening to Swap Shop on the radio and faithfully attended church. Patricia considered LaCamp Pentecostal Church to be her home church and kept notebooks of Bible verses and sermon notes.
Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, Kyle Finley Poe and Mary Lou Bass Poe; brother, Kyle Wayne Poe; daughter, Paula Robinson Smith; special brother, Monroe “Tom” Bass; and son-in-law, Robert Morrison.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband Alton Robinson of LaCamp, LA;
daughter, Deedee Morrison of LaCamp;
son, Benjamin Robinson (Rhesa) of Baton Rouge, LA;
son-in-law, Billy Smith (Penny) of DeRidder, LA;
grandchildren, Leah Wead (Eric) of Noble, LA, Morgan Rodgers (Benjamin) of England, Madison Morrison of LaCamp, Haley Robinson, and Haden Robinson both of Baton Rouge;
great-grandson, Jed Lane Wead of Noble;
sister, Sally Poe Meade (Jim) of Leesville;
special friend, Sue Fontenot;
and a host of extended family and friends.
Patricia’s family extends heartfelt appreciation to The Woodlands for their care and to David and Naomi Smith whom she considered her bonus children.
