Obituary for Kevin Bert Davis
Kevin Bert Davis passed away peacefully at home on May 26, 2022, with his family by his side. Kevin was born October 11, 1956, in Gladwin, Michigan. He worked at Waste Connections for 16 years as a diesel mechanic. Kevin served in the U.S. Army at Fort Polk, Louisiana. He enjoyed working, driving his 1948 Ford pickup, cooking BBQ, and eating crawfish. He also liked to be outdoors camping or fishing. The thing he loved the most was spending time with his family, especially his great-grandchildren.
Kevin was preceded in death by his father, Vern Davis of Harrison, MI; mother, Karen McDonald of Waxahachie, TX; son, Shane Davis of Lagrange, MI; and sister, LezleeKay Ritter of Wisconsin.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Kay Davis of Leeville, LA;
son, Raymond Robidas of Leesville;
daughters, Angel Stayler (Michael Thibodeaux) of Lake Charles, LA and Tina Davis of Lagrange, IN;
granddaughters, Kayla Breaux (Derick Breaux) of Starks, LA and Faith Gibson of Leesville;
great-grandchildren, Braylee, Cooper, Kase, and Sadie all of Starks;
brothers, Bill Geroux of Baraga, MI and Richard McDonald of Midlothian, TX;
sister, Susan Farr of Grand Prairie, TX;
stepdad, William McDonald of Waxahachie, TX;
and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and extended family.
A graveside memorial service with military honors will be held for Kevin at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 31, 2022, in Pine Hill Cemetery, 128 Pine Hill Church Road Leesville, LA under the direction of Jeane’s Funeral Service. If anyone would like to join in the procession to the graveside, please meet in the funeral home parking lot at noon on Tuesday, May 31, 2022.
