Obituary for Carrie Lea Midkiff Stephens
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Carrie Lea Midkiff Stephens, age 44, on Saturday, January 8, 2022 in Leesville, LA. Our family is deeply saddened by her unexpected death. Please join us for a memorial service celebrating her life on Saturday, January 15, 2022, 1:00 PM at Silver Creek Baptist Church in Leesville, LA.
Carrie was born on January 11, 1977 in Leesville, LA to Caroll and Rhonda Midkiff. She was a lifelong resident of Leesville who loved to smile and made friends everywhere she went. Growing up Carrie enjoyed dancing and playing softball. She graduated from Leesville High School in 1995 and married Waylon Stephens in 1996. They had 2 children Caleb and Chloe both of Leesville, LA. Carrie had a kind heart and a smile that could light up a room. Her kindness, humor, and smile will be greatly missed.
Carrie was preceded in death by her grandparents, William and Jessie Nipp, and Malcolm and Bonnie Midkiff.
She is survived by her husband Waylon Stephens, son, Caleb Stephens, daughter, Chloe Stephens, parents, Caroll and Rhonda Midkiff, sister, Myra Midkiff, brother, Joshua Midkiff and wife Victoria, nieces, Scianne and Willow, and a host of extended family and friends.
