Graveside services for Allie Mae Brister Johnson will be held on Thursday, December 16, 2021, at 3:00 PM at Brister Cemetery, Castor Lake Rd., Leesville, LA, under the direction of Jeane’s Funeral Service.
Allie Mae Brister Johnson was born on December 12, 1939, in Leesville, LA to Joe and Annie Shankle Brister. She passed away on December 14, 2021, in Leesville, LA at the age of 82. She was know as a sweet lady that was nice to everyone she met. Some of her favorite things were flea market shopping, buttons, puzzles, books, and red birds. She was a collector of many things and was very picky about her antiques. She enjoyed volunteering at Helping Hands Ministry, loved to go to McDonalds and get an “Allie biscuit” and could often be seen walking around Walmart. Reading her bible every night was very important to her. She will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, James and Johnny Wayne Brister, sister, Judy Bowers, and son, James Bailey,
She is survived by her daughter, Mary Newcomb and husband Jeff of Leesville, LA,
sister, Jane Richardson of Galveston, TX,
grandchildren, Angela Gilcrease of Leesville, LA, Miranda Brossette and husband Charles of Boyce, LA, Steven Newcomb of Leesville, LA, Dustin Runyon of Slagle, LA, Jamie Bailey and Austin Bailey both of Leesville, LA,
great grandchildren, Ansley, Eli, and Riley,
her most special friend in the world, Howard Martin,
and numerous nephews, nieces, and extended family.
