Obituary for Gloria Jean Weeks McGlothlin
Gloria Jean Weeks McGlothlin passed away on December 12, 2021, n her home. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, December 21, 2021, at Holly Grove Cemetery under the direction of Jeane’s Funeral Service.
Gloria was born on June 3, 1958, in Leesville, LA to Murphy and Dorothy Weeks. A lifelong resident of Vernon parish, Gloria spent her days with friends and family whenever she could. She also was a lifelong member of Holly Grove United Methodist Church in Anacoco, LA. She truly enjoyed spending time fishing, playing cards, telling stories, gardening, and searching for arrowheads.
Gloria is preceded in death by her parents, Murphy Neal Weeks Sr. and wife, Dorothy Magaret Conerly Weeks; brothers, Donald Joe Weeks, Charles Weeks, Craig Michael Weeks and sister; Melissa Weeks Favre.
Left to cherish her memories are her sons, David McGlothlin, Wade McGlothlin and wife, Brenda McGlothlin, Craig McGlothlin, Rodney McGlothlin, all of Leesville, LA and Chance McGlothlin of Berlin, Germany, brother, Murphy Neil Weeks Jr of Blanchard, LA, grandchildren, Lacie Young, Logan McGlothlin, and Brittany Irey of Leesville, LA, and her life partner of more than 25 years, Billy Metcalf of Anacoco, LA.
