Obituary for Jerry Ellis Bynog
A graveside service for Jerry Ellis Bynog will at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 26, 2021, with Reverend Joe Call officiating under the direction of Jeane’s Funeral Service.
Jerry was born February 19, 1957, in Beaumont, TX and passed away September 22, 2021, in Leesville, LA at the age of 64. He graduated from Leesville High School in 1976 and was a talented baseball player who had offers to play on the college level. Jerry lived in the Leesville area all of his life and was a member of Oak Forest Baptist Church. Hunting came naturally to him, and he was a great trapper. Fishing was another pastime he enjoyed. His dog, Peppy, had a special place in his heart.
Jerry was preceded in death by his father, W.L. Bynog Sr. and brother, Darrell Bynog.
Those left to cherish his memory are his son, Jeremy Wayne Sylvest and wife Angie;
daughter, Tabitha Bynog Dawdy of Sulphur, LA;
grandchildren, Cole Sylvest, Ela Lilyana Sylvest, and Jeremy Sylvest;
mother, Carolyn Williams Bynog of Leesville, LA;
brother, W.L. Bynog Jr. and wife Debbie of Leesville, LA;
sister, Alisa Cooley and husband Lynn of Leesville, LA;
and a host of extended family members.
