Obituary for Darlene Comer Wright
Funeral services for Darlene Comer Wright will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at Old Anacoco Baptist Church with Reverend Kenneth Hodge and Brent Cosio officiating. Burial will follow in Holly Grove Cemetery under the direction of Jeane’s Funeral Service. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
Darlene was born May 17, 1958 in Pineville, LA and passed away February 2, 2021 in New Orleans, LA at the age of 62. She attended Old Anacoco Baptist Church and enjoyed growing plants and rose bushes. Yellow roses were her favorite. Darlene was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She always supported her grandchildren at their sporting events and was there to help her family whenever they needed her.
Darlene was preceded in death by her parents, Everett Ray Comer and Virginia Rae Self and stepfather, Lynn Newman.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 44 years, Brian Todd Wright of Anacoco,
son, Michael Todd Wright of Anacoco,
daughters, Amanda Darlene Parker and husband Clinton of Simpson and Jaime Danielle Hood and husband Matthew of Anacoco,
brothers, Alex Pete Comer, Richard Comer and wife Donna, and Everett Comer Jr. and wife Jessica all of Leesville,
sisters, Zelda Midkiff and husband Jay and Mary Ruth Midkiff and husband Tony all of Leesville,
grandchildren, Trevor Wright, Derek Wright, Stephanie Wright, Chelsea Wright, Bentley Wright, Leigha Parker, Brandon Parker, and Garrett Parker,
and a host of extended family.
Pallbearers will be Robert Ford, Everett “Bubba” Comer Jr., Richard Comer, Gregory Midkiff, Jon Midkiff, Randall Midkiff, Jacob Comer, and Clay Shepard. Honorary pallbearers will be Alex Pete Comer, Jay Midkiff, Everett Comer III, and Tony Midkiff.
