Obituary for Jack Brittain
A funeral service for Jack Brittain Jr. will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 6, 2017, at Freedom Rest Baptist Church, 11796 Hwy. 111 Anacoco, Louisiana 71403, with Reverends James Kay and Edwin McCullough officiating under the direction of Jeane’s Funeral Service. Burial will follow at the Sycamore Cemetery in Burkeville, Texas.
Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, May 5, 2017, and continue until the time of service on Saturday.
Jack “Junior” Brittain was born on January 10, 1944, in Burkeville, TX to Jack and Madie Brittain and passed away on May 2, 2017, at the age of 73. He worked in the logging industry all of his life. Junior enjoyed spending time outside hunting, and he especially enjoyed fishing. He loved spending time with his family.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Maddie Brittain; brothers, Thomas Brittain, J.W. Brittain, James Brittain, and Jimmy Brittain; and grandson, Joseph Brittain.
He is survived by his wife of over 55 years, Bobby Brittain of Anacoco, LA
Sons: John Brittain and wife Dawn of Anacoco, LA, Billy Brittain of Anacoco, LA, and Charles Brittian and wife Rachel of Burkeville, TX
Daughters: Jenny Haley and husband Chris of Anacoco, LA and Donice Martinez and husband Bud of Anacoco, LA
Brother: Jerry Brittain of Leesville, LA
Sisters: Arie Faye Biscamp of Leesville, LA and Anna Lou Jordan of Newton, TX
Grandkids: Misty, Joseph, Kimberly, Bradley, Austin, Marcus, Christopher, Quinton, Zachery, Cynthia, Samuel, and Jacob
Great grandkids: Joseph, Aiden, Tristen, and Bentyn
Pallbearers will be Dustin Brittain, Marcus Brittian, Austin Brittian, Christopher Haley Jr., Quinton Haley, and Bradley Brittain.
Honorary pallbearer will be Zachery Haley.
