Obituary for Yong Ok Clark
Funeral services for Yong Ok Clark will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 28, 2021, at First United Pentecostal Church of Leesville with Reverends Mark Christian and Terry Ward officiating. Burial will follow in the Central Louisiana Veterans Cemetery under the direction of Jeane’s Funeral Service. A visitation will be held at the church on Tuesday, July 27th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
Yong was born August 7, 1942, in Busan, Korea and went to be with her Lord and Savior on July 23, 2021, in Alexandria, Louisiana at the age of 78. Yong was a devoted mother, grandmother, and a selflessly devoted Christian example of Jesus Christ. She truly walked a life of love. She had a true revelation that this life was about Jesus and not herself, and that is how she lived. She lived a life not knowing the feelings of jealousy, hatred, or bitterness. She was selfless, kind, caring, and compassionate. She was in church every time the doors were open and would be there early to pray in the pews or at the altar. She was a prayer warrior, spending every single day in prayer, going to prayer meetings, and going to the prayer house. She was continually in prayer for her children, grandchildren, and others that were in need or that she loved. She is leaving behind a legacy where Jesus is the center of everything. She was a very generous and giving person, believing that it was better to give than to receive, never expecting anything in return. Yong was fortunate to see the harvest of her giving and faithfulness to the Lord through the blessings of her children and grandchildren. She planted more seeds for God than we will ever know. She wanted everyone to know her Jesus. Until we meet again our sweet mother and grandmother. She will forever be loved, missed, cherished, and remembered as her family carries on her legacy. Well done my good and faithful servant, you have fought the good fight of faith. Enter into the joy of your lord.
Yong was preceded in death by her parents, Su-Yong Bae and So-Chum So and her husband of 10 years, Hunter Clark.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Jessica R. Ward and husband Tim and Francisco Roberto Diaz Jr;
grandchildren, Lakyn Ashlee Ward Guest and husband Paxson, Christopher Andrew Ward, Trevor Addison Diaz, Zachary Aaron Diaz, Channing Aaric Diaz, Piper Anslee Diaz, and Taylor Alaine Diaz;
and loving family members in South Korea.
Pallbearers will be Christopher Ward, Trevor Diaz, Zachary Diaz, Channing Diaz, Tim Ward, Paxson Guest, and Frank Diaz.
