Obituary for Willie Sullivan Hale Sr.
Willie Sullivan Hale Sr. was born on October 3, 1944, and passed away on December 19, 2018, at the age of 74. He was a native of Hornbeck, LA and graduated in 1962 from Hornbeck High School. Mr. Hale attended vocational technical school in Many and was a crane operator for Brown and Root for 25 years. He continued to work for other construction companies until he retired. After that, Mr. Hale worked in role play from 2003 until his health began to fail. He was an avid Saints fan and enjoyed being around people. Mr. Hale especially loved playing games with everyone and being with his family.
Mr. Hale was preceded in death by his parents Johnnie Thomas Hale and Willie Virginia Hale, brothers Bartel Hale, Bennie Hale, and Lynn Hale, and granddaughter Kadye Cooper.
Left to cherish their memories of him are his wife of 52 years Rita Hale of Hornbeck
sons Willie Hale Jr. of Hornbeck and Michael Allen Hale and wife April of Anacoco
daughter Diana Cooper and husband Bruce of Highlands, TX
brothers Felton Hale and wife Connie of Hornbeck
sisters Rebecca Hale of Anacoco, Lorraine Curtis of Hornbeck, and Melba Perkins and husband Tom of Kermit, TX
sister-in-law Debra Hale of Hornbeck
and nine grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.


A celebration of life gathering will be held on Saturday. Dec 22. 2018 from 100 pm till 3:00 pm at the Hornbeck Optimist Center.
