Obituary for Willie Mae Cutrer
A graveside service for Willie Mae Cutrer will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 17, 2023, in Florien Cemetery under the direction of Jeane’s Funeral Service. The pallbearers will be Ray McComic, Willie Stewart, Bo Stewart, Kelly Stewart, Ken Powell, and Josh Stewart. A visitation will be held at Jeane’s Funeral Service, 100 E. Union St. Leesville, LA, on Saturday from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m.
Willie was born October 14, 1927, in Middle Creek in Sabine Parish, LA and passed away June 15, 2023, in Hornbeck, LA at the age of 95. She was a dedicated homemaker to her husband, Dewitt, and they moved often for his work. After his retirement, they moved from Zachary, LA to Hornbeck where they remained. Willie enjoyed spending time working in her yard tending her flowers.
Willie was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Dewitt Cutrer; two infant sons; parents, William Kelly Stewart & Gertie Mae Brown Stewart; and brothers, Louis Paul Stewart, Devain Stewart, & William Ray Stewart.
Those left to cherish her memory are her sisters, Betty McComic of Florien, LA and Billie Shackelford of Hornbeck, LA, special nephew, Shelby Shackleford and a host of extended family members.
