Obituary for William "Bill" Thomas Holt Jr.
Funeral services for William “Bill” Thomas Holt Jr. will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday,
November 29, 2023, at Hineston Tabernacle with Reverend Jeff Scroggins officiating. The
burial will follow in the Fellowship Cemetery under the direction of Jeane’s Funeral Service.
A visitation will be held at Hineston Tabernacle on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of
service.
Bill was born January 3, 1951, in New York, New York and passed away November 26, 2023, in
Alexandria, Louisiana at the age of 72. He was a cowboy who loved to rope, train horses, and
just pleasure ride in the woods of Sieper Swamp. He enjoyed fishing with his sons, family and
friends. Everyone benefited from his delicious cooking, boy did he know his way around the
kitchen. He liked all kinds of music, but his favorites are the songs that his daughter Abigayle
sings. Bill had an infectious smile and twinkle in them baby blue eyes when he held out his hand
to take you for a spin on the dance floor. If you could dance or not he made it look like you were
gliding across the floor. Rather he was just hanging out with his family and friends shooting the
bull he was always smiling and you always had a good time. He will be truly missed by all that
knew him.
Bill’s professional carrier span 42 years that included Southwestern Bell, AT&T and Bellsouth,
also he was self employed with T.I.E.S Technology. Throughout his career in communication
technology he was relied upon by many technical experts to troubleshoot serious issues. His
expertise and work ethics were unmatched.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, William Thomas Holt Sr. and Helen Patricia Andolics
Holt, and his brother Mike Holt.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Melissa McCool Holt, two sons Cody Holt
(Shalane) and Jody Holt, two daughters Dusty Fracasso (Steven), and Abigayle Holt, two
brothers Chris Holt (Evelyn), Johnny Holt (Janet), one sister Donna Ganucheau (Richard), nine
grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a host of family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Adam Holt, Steven Fracasso, Danny McCool, Nolan McCool, Jason Taylor,
Terry Norris, Mark Tatum, and Craig Abrams. The honorary pallbearers will be his grandsons,
Taylon Holt, Jayden Rachal, Gaven Holt, Beau Holt, Hunter Holt, Preston Fracasso, Jaxton
Cryer and Eli Holt.
