Obituary for Wilburt "Wilber" Ray Paddy
A graveside service for Wilburt “Wilber” Ray Paddy will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 22, 2021, in Brister-Liberty Cemetery, Brister Road Leesville, LA with Reverend Greg Blackwell officiating under the direction of Jeane’s Funeral Service. A visitation will be held at Jeane’s Funeral Service, 100 E. Union St. Leesville, LA on Wednesday from 1:00 -1:45 p.m.
Wilber was born November 4, 1949, and passed away September 17, 2021, at the age of 71. He was an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a member of the Sandy Creek Hunting Club. He had a humble, giving spirit and gave everything he had to those around him. Wilber had a great sense of humor and liked to tell stories. Most of all, he loved his family and would spend time with them passing down his knowledge of hunting and fishing.
Wilber was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Faye Gabor Paddy; parents, Joseph Paddy and Eliza Jane Paddy; brothers, Joseph “Buddy” Paddy and Donald Paddy; and sisters, Billie Louise Paddy and Dorris Harry.
Those left to cherish his memory are his son, Joseph Ray Paddy of Leesville;
daughters, Cassie Elizabeth Murray and Alice Elice Dailey both of Leesville;
grandchildren, Britney Murray, Jacee Murray, Alex Murray, and Cameron Paddy;
great grandchildren, Raylin Dixon, Emmett Murray, and Ledger Murray;
brothers, Thomas Paddy, William Bo Paddy, Floyd Paddy, and Raymond Paddy;
sister, Betty Davis;
a very close nephew, Andy Langston;
and a host of extended family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Alex Murray, Jacee Murray, Briar Paddy, William Jeane, Joseph Paddy, and Robert Taylor.
