Obituary for Wayne Marlow Welch
Funeral services for Wayne Marlow Welch will be held on Wednesday, February 18, 2015, 10:00AM at Castor Baptist Church, Hwy. 8, Leesville, LA with Rev. Morris Goins and Rev. Walter Collins officiating. Burial will follow at the Castor Cemetery under the direction of Jeane's Funeral Service. Visitation will be on Tuesday, February 17, 2015, from 5:00-10:00 PM at Castor Baptist Church. Wayne Marlow Welch was born on July 4, 1966, in Kirbyville, TX, to James and Shirley Eubanks Welch and died at his residence on February 13, 2015 at the age of 48. He was a life resident of Leesville and 1984 graduate of Hicks High School. He graduated from Northwestern State University as a respiratory therapist. He began his career at Byrd Medical Center and worked there for the past 24 years. He returned back to college to pursue a RN degree at LSUA so that he continue to serve others. Wayne loved to fish, hunt, and the outdoors. He was a member of Castor Baptist Church and enjoyed spending time his family, his "hospital" family, and especially his daughter, Taylor. He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Branch and Myrtie Welch and Rudolph and Bernice Eubanks.
