Obituary for Vickie Annette McCraw
A memorial service for Vickie Annette McCraw will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 2, 2021, at Pine Hill Baptist Church, 128 Pine Hill Church Road Leesville, with Reverend Morris Goins and Brent Cosio officiating under the direction of Jeane’s Funeral Service.
Vickie was born December 29, 1967, in Leesville, LA and passed away September 22, 2021, in Leesville at the age of 53. She graduated from Leesville High School in 1986 and was a member of Pine Hill Baptist Church. Vickie enjoyed sitting on her front porch in her swing and making delicious jams and jellies. Her other hobbies included sewing and baking. Vickie was proud of her Native American heritage.
Vickie was preceded in death by her grandfather, Finas Beason; grandmother, Francis Beason; uncles, Rodger Beason and Alvie Beason; aunts Sybil Jeanise and Janet Beason; and sister-in-law, Kathy Anders.
Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Jeremy McCraw and wife Grace of Leesville and Kade McCraw and wife Trish of Springfield, MA;
daughters, Brittany McCraw of Leesville and Lydia McCraw of Pickering, LA;
grandchildren, Bryten McCraw, Brayten McCraw, Jeremiah McCraw, Gemma McCraw, Derek Baker and William Caruthers;
parents, Shirley Kitchen and husband William of Anacoco, LA and James Schofield and wife Lynn of Camden, MI;
brothers, Gary Anders and wife Pam and Randall Anders;
sisters, Shannon Dobbs, Theresa Leising, and Wendy Thorpe;
aunt, Becky Gohr;
uncle, Dwayne Beason;
and a host of extended family members.
