Obituary for Troy "Red" Nolen
A graveside service for Troy “Red” Nolen will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 11, 2020 in Old Anacoco Cemetery with Reverends Wayne Chance and Kenneth Hodges officiating under the direction of Jeane’s Funeral Service.
Mr. Nolen was born May 26, 1939 in Lafayette, LA and passed away September 8, 2020 in Leesville, LA at the age of 81. He was known to everyone as Red and around 1973, he opened Red’s Paint and Body Shop which he operated for about 30 years. He loved old cars, visiting family and friends, and cutting grass. His family was his greatest joy.
Red was preceded in death by his parents, John and Dovie Nolen; brother, Arvil Nolen; son, Terry Harvey Sr.; and grandson, Terry Harvey Jr.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 61 years, Pat Nolen,
sons, Greg Nolen; Bobby Harvey and wife Carlene; and Robert Harvey and wife Ethel,
grandchildren, Stephanie Jamison and husband Brian; B.J. Harvey; Megan Harvey; Wayne Harvey; Lisa DeHart and husband Joey; Stacie Houston; and Mackenzie Nolen,
great grandchildren, Zoe; Cody; Bryce; Baylie; Hunter; Brooke; Parish; Jackson; Brylie; Braylon; Krista; and Kaylee,
brothers and sisters, Roy Nolen; Lloyd Nolen; Lois Downs; Joy Lee; Darnell Wyche; and Barbary Antley,
and a host of nieces, nephews, street rodders, and friends.
Pallbearers will be Ray Perkins, Ray McComic, Laverne Perkins, Jerry Harvey, Alan Deutsch, and Brian Wright. Honorary pallbearers will be Billy Johnson and Robbi Johnson.
