Obituary for Tracy Andrew Pogue
Tracy lived in Orange County, California until he joined the army in 1974. He served nine and a half years army active duty, until he met and married Sandy Pogue. Tracy was then the best military spouse anyone could ever ask for while he followed her 21 year career.
Once settled down in Leesville, he worked with Sarver Real Estate, then started his career at Walmart. He was a truck unloader, promoted to a department manager, then a customer service manager. He loved making people laugh and taking care of them. He enjoyed all the people he worked with – what wonderful friends he made.
Tracy was married to two wonderful women; of course, at different times in his life. Ruth Bennett was his first love and Sandra Pogue who we spent the last 37 years together.
Tracy loved fishing, especially with friends. He loved reminiscing about and telling stories of his army friends and times. Casinos were always fun. Tracy loved being outdoors grilling, especially jerked chicken. He stayed busy around the home with everything that needed done, cared for the scads of cats and dogs.
Those who knew him knew his humor and kindness.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Sandra Pogue, sisters, Carolyn Pogue and Jacque Arnold, and brother, James Pogue.
The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.
