Obituary for Thurman "Butch" Russell Warren
Funeral services for Thurman “Butch” Russell Warren will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 10, 2018, at Old Anacoco Baptist Church with Reverend Jerry Keys officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery under the direction of Jeane’s Funeral Service.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 9th at 4:00 for family and 5:00 to 9:00 for friends at Old Anacoco Baptist Church.
Mr. Warren was born on September 10, 1939, in Moro, Arkansas and passed away on January 5, 2018, in Leesville, Louisiana. He was a native of Arkansas where he lived until he was drafted into the U.S. Army. While working as a drill sergeant at Fort Polk, Mr. Warren met the love of his life and on July 4, 1963, he married Margaret Lorraine Wells. After serving his country, he worked for KCS Railroad where he worked his way up to become an engineer and eventually retired. Mr. Warren enjoyed hunting and fishing with his friends. He was of the Baptist faith and loved spending time with his family, especially his great grandchildren.
Mr. Warren was preceded in death by his mother, Velma Coffman; sisters, Mickey Haynes and Wilma Howton; and grandson, Logan Warren.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 54 years, Margaret Warren of Leesville, LA

Granddaughters: Katie Strickland and fiancée Justin Chapman of Amarillo, Texas and Megan Ardoin and husband Gerald of Mamou, LA
Great grandchildren: Madeline, Oakley, Tucker, and McKinley
and a host of extended family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Justin Chapman, Clifton Howton, Tommy Bolton, Teddy LeBlu, Rick Caspari, and Louis Austin.
