Obituary for Thomas Jackson "Jack" Laurence
A graveside service for Thomas Jackson “Jack” Laurence will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 7, 2021, in Pisgah Cemetery with Reverend Buddy Freeman officiating under the direction of Jeane’s Funeral Service. A visitation will be held at Jeane’s Funeral Service, 100 E. Union St. Leesville, LA, on Monday, September 6th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
Jack was born May 22, 1949, and passed away September 4, 2021, at the age of 72. He served in the United States Army and was a Post Commander. For many years, he worked in the logging industry. Jack was easy going and enjoyed watching television, especially wrestling. He had a soft heart for animals and would care for any stray that came across his path.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Lee Laurence and Ollie Ava Brown Laurence; brothers, Densil Nash, Bobby Laurence, and Ronnie Dean Laurence; and sister, Kathy Laurence Rains.
Those left to cherish their memories of Jack are his brothers, Danny Laurence and wife Sherry of Hornbeck, Donnie Ray Laurence of Florien, and Darrel “Allen” Nash and wife Barbara of Watertown, MA;
sister, Shirley Ann Behan of Toro, LA;
and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Roy Behan, Troy Behan, Monica Brister, Amanda Laurence, Aron Laurence, Odis Laurence, Robbie Laurence and Mark Laurence. Honorary pallbearers will be Donnie Ray Laurence, Danny Laurence, Dewayne Rains, Keith Behan and John Nash Jr.
