Obituary for Suzanne G. Steiner
A graveside service for Suzanne G. Steiner will be held, weather permitting, at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 5, 2021 in Laurel Hill Cemetery under the direction of Jeane’s Funeral Service. If the weather is severe, the service will be held at Jeane’s Funeral Service, 100 E. Union St. Leesville, LA. A visitation will be held at Jeane’s from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
Suzanne was born March 12, 1967 in Hattiesburg, Mississippi and passed away June 4, 2021 in Simmesport, LA at the age of 54. At the age of 10, she and her family moved to Simmesport, LA. She loved her position of baby sister of four girls and was loved and spoiled by her three older sisters. Suzanne loved and adored her two children. She would say to them, “I love you like a hog loves slop.” She always had a great sense of humor and loved to make people laugh. Suzanne was so happy to be a grandmother. She was good at growing flowers and vegetables. She had a green thumb and loved showing off her gardening skills. Animals had a huge part of her heart and she had a various array of pets including a blind hen, a giant banana spider, and Sebastian and Cheerio – two bald pythons. Suzanne loved people and never met a stranger. She was loved by most and will be greatly missed by so many.
Suzanne was preceded in death by her mother, Edith Steelman; sister, Connie Moreau; and grandparents, Helen and John V. Steelman.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Charles Steiner;
son Charles Andre Steiner Jr.;
daughter, Jami Steiner Miller and husband Jacob;
sisters, Kathy Miley Leckie and Vickie Koski;
grandchildren, Kadence Miller, Jacob Miller Jr., Kyelynn McBrayer, and Layla Mae Steiner;
and stepfather, David Lemoine.
Pallbearers will be Rhett Dugas, Jacob Miller, C.J. Steiner, Colt Steiner, Caden McCLure, and Daniel Lee.
