Sue was born to Harold Clinton Phillips and Juanita Daly Phillips on July 3, 1947, in San Jacinto California. She was married on September 23, 2009, to Travis Wayne Vincent.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Clinton and Juanita Phillips and her brother-in-law, Maxie Vincent. Sue is survived by her husband, Travis Vincent of Anacoco, LA; son, Brian Boulware and wife Selena of Sacramento, CA; two daughters Evelyn Daily and Pam Vincent both of Leesville, LA; three sisters-in-law, Alma Lue Dowden, Vira Lee Hill, and Linda Gail Vincent all of Leesville, LA; two grandchildren, Brian Boulware of Sacramento, CA and Ashlee Daily of Baton Rouge, LA; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Sue grew up in California. After high school, she earned her degree in Accounting. In the early 1990s, she relocated to the Fort Polk area with her job. Sue worked in Iraq for four years then worked for the VA hospital for another four years. She worked for the last two years at BJAC Hospital.
Sue loved God and was constantly seeking more of Him. She began attending the First Pentecostal Church of Leesville in 2011. She received the gift of the Holy Ghost and was baptized in Jesus name and became a faithful member. Sue always had a smile on her face and a hug ready to give as she would squeeze you and say, “You little Cutie Pie!”. She always helped in providing food for gatherings and for bereaved families. She loved to work and continued working until her passing. To know Sue was to love her. She loved everyone and was a wonderful friend to all.
Pallbearers will be Lamar Dowden, Victor Dowden, Vince Dowden, Christopher Johnson, Carlos Masinet, and Jason Vincent. Honorary pallbearers will be Zachary Dowden and Joshua Dowden.
