Graveside services for Steven Eugene Gill will be held on Friday, January 7, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Whitaker Cemetery, Deridder, LA, with Brother Buddy Freeman and Brother Paul Hoskey officiating.
Steven Eugene Pogue was born on February 13, 2001 in Deridder, LA to Billy Ray Gill, Sr., and Amanda Mattox Gill. He passed away on December 31, 2021, in Evans, LA at the age of 20. He attended school in Vernon Parish and worked the past 5 years at Harvey’s Auto Salvage. He loved to rebuild trucks, body work, and work on machinery. He enjoyed arrowhead hunting, driving fast, and being with his family.

He was preceded in death by his father, Billy Ray Gill, Sr., grandfather, Steven Gill, grandmother, Annell McDaniel, uncles, Anthony Maddox, Michael Maddox, Mack Edward Johnson, Jr., and cousin Gary Clark.
Pallbearers will be Jonathan Young, Trevor Eason, Daniel Eason, James Johnson, Micah Maddox, Jamie Maddox, DeWayne Gill, and Michael Maddox.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Robby Swank, and Billy Gill Jr.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the funeral expenses at Jeane's Funeral Service.
