Obituary for Stephen Brian Gordy
Services honoring the life of Stephen Brian Gordy will be held on Monday, January 21, 2019 at 2:00 pm at the Laurel Hill Baptist Church. 1796 Laurel Hill Rd. Leesville, La 71446
with Reverends Courtland Stokes Jr. and Wesley Jackson officiating .
Visitation will be from 10 am until service time in the church. Burial will follow in Laurel Hill cemetery under the direction of Jeane's Funeral service
Stephen was born on October 12, 1963 in Alexandria , La. to Duffy and Linda Graeb Gordy and passed away on Friday, January 18, 2019 at the age of 55 yrs, six months and 3 days.
Stephen was a lifelong resident of Vernon and Rapides Parishes and was a 1982 graduate of Simpson High School.
He worked for the La. Dept of highways as a heavy equipment operator and loved repairing any type of engines especially motorcycles. He was a member of the gold wing rider association and rode his gold wing as much as he could. He was a devout christian and member of Peniel Baptist Church and was always always helping others and had gonr on many mission trips. If he could pull a prank and make soneone laugh he woulld. Stephen was just a country boy that loved his famiy and God..

Survivors are his wife , Shelia Gordy of the Calcasieu Community, Mother Linda Gordy of Leesville,.

Two Brothers and sisters in law; Darrell and Tammy Gordy of New Iberia, Lla and David and Jamie Gordy of Leesville, Several nephews and nieces.
