Obituary for Sherry Ann Holder Murray
Funeral services for Sherry Ann Holder Murray will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 14, 2019, at Jackson Chapel Church of Christ with Brothers Ray Hyatt and Earl Franks officiating. Burial will follow in Stephens Cemetery under the direction of Jeane’s Funeral Service. Visitation for the family and friends of Mrs. Murray will begin at the church on Sunday, October 13th at 4:00 p.m. and will continue until the time of service.
Mrs. Murray was born July 28, 1945 and passed away October 11, 2019 at the age of 74. She was a member of Jackson Chapel Church of Christ and set an example for her family and friends as a kind, Christian lady. Mrs. Murray was married to her husband, Travis Murray, for 55 years. They enjoyed laughing together and raised a close-knit family whom she loved very much.
Mrs. Murray was preceded in death by her husband, Travis Murray; parents, Sam B Holder and Gay Holder; and several brothers and sisters.
Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Travis Murray Jr. and wife Diana of Brady, TX and Kevin Murray and wife Maile of Gardner, LA,
daughters, Jenny Jackson and husband Lynn of Leesville, LA; Mandy Conn and husband Brad of Leesville, LA; and Denise White and fiancée Vince of Evans, LA,
brother, Tommy Holder of Leesville, LA,
sisters, Dewanna Hanson and Opal Cole both of Cotton Valley, LA,
grandchildren, Rich, Stephanie, Hannah, Kathleen, Cassidy, Ricky, Steven, Phillip, Caitlin, Kyle, Brad, Josh, Matthew, Brayden, Lacy, Maya, Ben, and Vinny,
twenty-two great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, and a host of extended family.
Pallbearers will be Ricky Jackson, Steven Jackson, Kyle Conn, Brad Conn Jr., Josh Conn, Phillip Murray, Matthew White, and Brayden White.
Honorary pallbearers will be Ben Martin and Richard Benavidez.
