Obituary for Sheila Kay
Funeral services for Sheila Kay will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 9, 2022, at White Park Church of Christ with Brother Andy Addison and Brother Rickey Kay officiating. Congregational singing will be led by Lonnie Pardue. Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery under the direction of Jeane’s Funeral Service. A visitation will be held at the church on Tuesday, March 8th beginning at 5:00 p.m. and will continue until the time of service.
Sheila was born November 20, 1966, in Leesville, Louisiana and passed away March 5, 2022, in Leesville at the age of 55. She was a hard worker who enjoyed being outdoors mowing her lawn. For many years, she worked part-time as a cafeteria cook mainly at West Leesville Elementary but also at Leesville Junior High School. Sheila was a lifelong member of White Park Church of Christ where she served faithfully as the Preschool Bible Class teacher. She also enjoyed singing in church. Sheila loved her nieces and nephews and especially liked to buy things for the younger ones. She bravely fought cancer without complaint and is now with her Lord and Savior.
Sheila was preceded in death by her parents, Hollis Kay and Edna Earle Scoggins Kay and siblings, Phyllis Russell Kay, Kevin Kay, and Carolyn Jeane.
Those left to cherish her memory are her brothers, Rickey Kay and wife Pat of Leesville and Dawson Kay and wife Mary of Groesbeck, TX;
sisters, Regina Kay Harry and husband Terry of Leesville and Jill Kay Jeane and husband Paul of Evans, LA;
numerous nieces & nephews and extended family members.
Pallbearers will be Justin Harry, Clint Harry, Troy Harry, Adam Jeane, Bryan Kay, and Wayne Jeane.
