A graveside service for Scott Alexander Kinchen will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, March 3, 2025, at LaCamp Church of God Cemetery with Reverend Shawn Waggoner officiating under the direction of Jeane’s Funeral Service. A visitation will be held at Jeane’s Funeral Service on Sunday, March 2nd from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m.
Scott was born September 11, 1971, in Thibodaux, Louisiana and passed away at his home in Hicks on February 28, 2025, at the age of 53. He proudly served our country in the US Navy and part of that time was deployed in Guam. While serving in the military and working as a truck driver, he traveled all over. His generous nature and loyal personality were evident because Scott put others before himself. You could definitely describe him as an animal lover, and he would often feed and care for wild animals or strays. Scott will be deeply missed by his family, and his reunion with other family members, especially his mother, will be joyous.
Scott was preceded in death by his parents, Marshall “Butch” Curtis Kinchen and Francis Annette Carruth Ensley; brother, Clay Curtis Kinchen; and grandparents, Samuel & Avis Carruth and Marshall Curtis Kinchen Sr. & Geraldine Marie Hollis Kinchen.
Those left to cherish his memory are his aunt, Peggy Berry (Randy);
uncle, Dan Carruth;
niece & nephew, Ashlie Dunn (Corey) and Mitchell Kinchen (Madison);
sister-in-law, Alicia Kinchen;
close friends, Archie Smith Jr. and Mary Ann Hederick;
and numerous cousins, extended family members, and friends.
