Sandra “Sandy” Lynn Blackwell was born December 10, 1962 in Fort Campbell, Kentucky and passed away April 3, 2020 in Leesville, Louisiana at the age of 57. Sandy has a distinguished career in radio. For 30 years, she worked as either a DJ or Program Director in many locations including Albuquerque, New Mexico, DC101 in Washington, D.C., Sunny99 in Houston, Texas; and recently KROK, KMUX, and Country105 all located in the Standard Broadcasting building in Leesville. Sandy was of the Lutheran faith and enjoyed taking care of her cats and dogs, knitting, reading, and watching TV. She loved to cook and spend time with her girlfriends.
