Obituary for Sandra Gayle Hilton
Funeral services for Sandra Gayle Hilton will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 12, 2017, at First United Pentecostal Church of Leesville with Reverends Mark Christian, Morris Goins, and Jeff Coleman officiating. Burial will follow in Prewitt Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Jeane’s Funeral Service.
Visitation for Mrs. Hilton will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Monday, December 11th at First United Pentecostal Church of Leesville.
Mrs. Hilton was born on May 20, 1945, in Provencal, LA and passed away in her home on December 8, 2017, at the age of 72. She was a graduate of Northwestern State University and was a part of the Vernon Parish education system for over 45 years both in and out of the classroom. Mrs. Hilton was a special education teacher who devoted herself to teaching and helping the students that passed through her doors. Even when her health began to decline, she was devoted to her students and continued to teach. Mrs. Hilton loved her children and doted on her grandchildren. Her family meant the world to her, and she enjoyed spending time with them entertaining, playing cards, cooking, or traveling. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Leesville and along with her late husband, they owned Hilton’s Automotive and Wrecker Service. Mrs. Hilton loved to laugh, and her unique personality spread joy and laughter to those who knew her.
Mrs. Hilton was preceded in death by her husband, William Charles Hilton Sr; parents, Charles Thomas Nash and Nettie Jane Nash; brothers, Carl Nash, Quinton Nash, and Gary Nash; and sisters, Maggie Isgitt, Pauline Williams, and Rachel Moss.
Left to cherish her memory are her sons: Joseph “Joey” Hilton of Leesville, LA and William “Chuck” Hilton of Leesville, LA
Sisters: Patsy Williams of DeRidder, LA; Shirley Graham of Haughton, LA; and Connie and Marvin “Bub” Hilton of Leesville, LA
Grandchildren: Adrean Hilton and fiancée Carl Gamble of Leesville, LA; Kerri Hilton of Leesville, LA; and Elizabeth “Janie” Hilton of Lake Charles, LA
Great grandchildren: Layla Gamble, Lyric Gamble, and Taelyn Hilton.
Pallbearers will be Butch Nash, David Dillon, Shelly Rogers, Randy Isgitt, James Williams, and Pete Keel.
