Obituary for Samuel Enos Higgerson
Samuel Enos Higgerson was born November 17, 1933, in Steelville, Illinois and passed away August 31, 2021, in Alexandria, Louisiana at the age of 87. Sam was a United States Army Veteran and a loyal employee of Yellow Trucking Company from which he retired. He was a member of Oak Forest Baptist Church.
Sam was preceded in death by his wife, JoAnn Higgerson; parents, Enos Arthur Higgerson and Mable Elizabeth Smith Higgerson; and sisters, Gloria June Benthall and Alma Ruth Cobb.
Those left to cherish his memory are his brother-in-law, Larry Sodosky; daughter-in-law, Theresa Rhodes(husband Randy), nephews, Troy Cobb(wife Cheryl), Ronnie Cobb, and Brian Cobb(Kim); niece, Patty Williamson(Wade).Several great nieces and nephews: Chris Cobb(wife Alisha, daughter Skylar),Samantha Adams(husband Tony),Zach Cobb, Jeremy Cobb, Allison Cobb, Caleb Williamson, Landen Williamson and Aislinn Cobb
To honor his memory, a memorial service will be held at 12 noon on Sept 24th, 2021 at the Leesville VA Cemetery.
