Obituary for Sally Alicia Fertitta
Sally Alicia Fertitta, age 34, of Leesville, Louisiana went to be with Jesus Saturday,
March 11, 2017. She fought a valiant battle against Huntington’s disease for nearly
a decade.
Sally, a native of Leesville, LA was a vibrant, young lady who will be remembered for
her dynamic personality and sweet spirit. Sally graduated from Leesville High School
in 2001 where she was a cheerleader and involved in many extra curricular activities.
She attended Northwestern State University majoring in mass communications.
Sally was preceded in death by her beloved grandparents: maternal grandfather Alvin
Capello, paternal grandfather Sam Fertitta Sr., and paternal grandmother Roberta
Norwood Fertitta as well as her cousin Anna Olivia Morrow.
She is survived by her mother, Myrna Capello, her father Sam Fertitta, her maternal grandmother Alicia "Ita" Bustamante Capello, her sisters,
Polly Ann Berwick, Nancy Berwick, Lacey Dawn Cantrell, Kristin Alecia Cantrell, one
brother, Nicholas Ryan Fertitta, and her most special dedicated friend, Frank Desimone,
as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 P. M. to 8:00 P. M. on Tuesday, March 14, 2017, at
East Leesville Baptist Church, 266 Alexandria Highway, Leesville, LA 71446. The funeral service will be at 2:00 on March 15, 2017, at East Leesville Baptist Church with
Brother Jeff Smart officiating under the direction of Jeane’s Funeral Service. Burial
will follow in the Forest Lawn Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the Huntington’s Disease
Society of America in Sally’s name.
