Obituary for Ruth Faye Morrison
A graveside service for Ruth Faye Morrison will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 27, 2023, at Stephens Cemetery with Reverend Ricky Jackson officiating under the direction of Jeane’s Funeral Service. The pallbearers will be Lynn Jackson, Bill Morrison, Ricky Jackson, Steven Jackson, Gary Lyons, and Brad Conn. The honorary pallbearers will be Jim Brookshire and Kevin Murray.
Ruth was born March 30, 1926, in Leesville, Louisiana and passed away October 24, 2023, in Leesville at the age of 97. She was a member of Cold Springs Baptist Church in Anacoco and had a sweet personality. Working in her yard and garden was her favorite hobby, and you could often find Ruth at the end of a water hose. Her husband, Dudley, was the love of her life, and he enjoyed spoiling her.
Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Dudley Morrison; parents, Richard & Johnnie Lyons; brother, D.G. Lyons; and grandson, Eric McNeely.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Lynn (Jenny) Jackson of Leesville, LA and Ginger (Jim) Brookshire of Tallahassee, FL;
stepchildren, Bill (Debbie) Morrison of Pineville, LA and David Morrison of Elmer, LA;
grandchildren, Ricky (Tamara) Jackson, Steven (Leigha) Jackson, Jarrett (Vanessa) Brookshire, and Charlotte (Bradley) Berryman;
step-grandchildren, Mathew and Catherine;
and great-grandchildren, Ethan, Natalie, Landry, Hadley, and Jaxton.
