Obituary for Ruby Ann Badgett
Funeral services for Ruby Ann Badgett will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, August 7, 2017, at Calvary Baptist Church, 2113 Nolan Trace Leesville, LA with Reverend John Smith officiating under the direction of Jeane’s Funeral Service. Burial will follow in Leesville Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at the church from 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 6th until the time of service on Monday.
Mrs. Badgett was born on January 21, 1940, and passed away in her residence on August 3, 2017, at the age of 77. She worked at Villa Inn in Mesquite, TX as a waitress for 13 years and at the Poochie Henson restaurant for many years. Mrs. Badgett was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and loved the Lord. She enjoyed reading her Bible daily and playing Yahtzee.
Mrs. Badgett was preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, Wilson Ray Badgett; parents, John C. and Josephine Mitchell; three daughters; one son; six brothers; one sister; and three grandchildren.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughters: Sue and husband Junior Hext of Leesville, LA; Patricia and husband Lavell Williams of Leland, MS
Adopted daughter: Anna McCreary of Forney, TX
Stepson: Larry Badgett of Phenoix, AL
Two brothers: Billy Mitchell of Brandon, MS; Bobby and Maxine Mitchell of Greenville, MS
Nine grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren
A host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Cody Toney, Joe Toney, Matthew Shackelford, Lavell Williams, Brian Gallagher, and Ricky Mitchell.
