Obituary for Rose Ruiz
Funeral services for Mrs. Rose Lee Ruiz will be held on Saturday, February 20, 2016, 11:00 AM at Toledo Bend Bible Baptist Church with Pastor Bill Russell officiating. Burial will follow in Good Hope Cemetery under the direction of Jeane"s Funeral Service. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 19, 2016, from 5:00 " 9:00 PM at Toledo Bend Bible Baptist Church. Rose Lee Ruiz was born on November 27, 1932, to Grover and Sarah Lee in Missouri and passed away at her residence in Anacoco, LA, at the age of 83. Mrs. Rose had lived in the Leesville/Anacoco area since 1965 and retired from Bayne Jones Medical Center as a nurse. She helped to start a nursing home ministry at The Woodlands, and it is still being carried out by Toledo Bend Bible Baptist Church where she was a faithful member. She loved children and enjoyed reading books to them. She volunteered for many years at Anacoco Elementary. Ms. Rose loved humming birds and flowers. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, 1 grandchild, and 1 great-grandchild. She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Tony Ruiz of Anacoco, LA Sons: Robin Sims of Texas and James "Timmy" Sims of Virginia Daughters: Eva Marie and Charles Nichols of Leesville, LA, Donna and Jerry Lund of Davenport, IA, Kathy Hill of Anacoco, LA, Jamie and Carl Becker of Purdon, TX, and Lindsey Melihercsik of Florida Sisters: Faye Hicks of Tennessee 16 grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren Words of comfort may be extended to the family at wwwjeanesfs.com
