Obituary for Ronald Cleveland Guess
Funeral services honoring the life of Ronald "Ronnie" Cleveland Guess will be held on Tuesday, December 13, 2016, at 10:00 a.m. in the First Baptist Church of Hornbeck, 2342 Stillwell Ave., Hornbeck, LA, with Reverends Jack Bell and Wayne Chance officiating. Burial will follow at a later date. Visitation will be held on Monday, December 12, 2016, starting at 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Hornbeck. Ronald "Ronnie" was born on October 14, 1937, in Sarasota, FL to Oscar Cleveland and Annie Lou Childs Guess and passed away on Friday, December 9, 2016, at the age of 79 years, 2 months, and 5 days. He served our country as a medic in the United States Navy and Marine Corp. For several years, he repaired and sold boats. After moving to Hornbeck, Ronnie worked as a boiler operator supervisor for Boise until his retirement. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and a member of First Baptist Church Hornbeck. Preceding him in death were his parents, brother - Charles Guess and grandson - Andrew Snell Survivors are his wife: Velora "Vee" Mitchell Guess of Hornbeck, LA Two Daughters: Liz Bonnet and husband Lane of Myakka City, FL,and Rhonda Ellzey and husband Pat of Hornbeck, LA Son: Chad Guess and wife Chelsea of Hornbeck, LA Brother: Tracey Guess of Sarasota, FL Grandchildren: Shaun Maus and wife Adrienne, Jamie and Josha Neipert, Lindsay Castiglione and husband G, Alainah Semons and husband Jessie, Caleb Snell, Zackary, Alivia, Miranda, Court, and Lillian Guess Great grandchildren: Jessah, Jemmah, Juliah, Brantley, Charlie, Huck, Brighton, Cason, Sabali, Alex, and Angelica.
