Memorial services for Roger Jim Josey will be held on Saturday, October 1, 2016, at 10:00 a.m. at Freedom Rest Baptist Church, 11796 LA-111, Anacoco, LA. Roger Jim Josey was born on September 27, 1954, to R.J. and Shirley Gaskin Josey in Leesville, LA. He passed away on September 26, 2016, in Alexandria LA. He was 7.5 hours away from being 62 years old. He was a lifelong resident of Vernon Parish. He graduated from Hornbeck High School in 1972. As Jim Kay at KVVP radio, he enjoyed entertaining his listeners. Not only was Roger a voice talent, he was a gifted songwriter and guitar player. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Roger was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Tammy Josey Marshall. He is survived by his son: Stephen and wife Shianna Josey of Stafford, VA Grandchildren: Stephanie, Mikayla, Kaelynn, and Stephen, Jr. Sisters: Rhonda Edwards and husband George of Anacoco, LA, Jennifer Paddy and husband Jeff of Rosepine, LA, and Jessica Fields and husband Bryan of Hornbeck, LA Brother: Terry Josey of Ball, LA Companion of many years: Lisa Ferguson Host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
