Obituary for Rodney Wayne Boswell
Funeral services for Rodney Wayne Boswell will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 28, 2017, at Hicks United Pentecostal Church with Reverends Greg Mortenson and George Lee Glass officiating. Burial will follow in the Ebenezer Cemetery under the direction of Jeane’s Funeral Service.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 27, 2017, from 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. at Hicks United Pentecostal Church and will resume on Tuesday at 8:00 a.m. until the time of service.
Rodney Boswell was born on September 25, 1951, in Leesville, LA and passed away on November 25, 2017, after a battle with cancer. He enjoyed hunting, fishing with the boys, bird watching, and gardening – especially flowers. Most of all, Rodney loved spending time with his family. His grandchildren and great granddaughter meant the world to him.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Rudolph Sr. and brother, James Rudolph Jr.
Left to cherish Rodney’s memory are his wife of 44 years, Marna Smith Boswell
Two sons: Rodney “Bubba” Boswell of Leesville, LA and James Boswell of Leesville, LA
Three daughters: Mary Boswell of Alexandria, LA; Samantha Mahl and husband George of Rosepine, LA; and Sonya Haase of Sulphur, LA
Twelve grandchildren and one great granddaughter
Mother: Ruby Oleta Boswell of Leander, LA
One sister: Wanda Gayle Smith of Leander, LA
Three brothers: Charles “Greg” Boswell of Vici, OK; Tony Boswell of Midland, TX; and Curtis Boswell of Leander, LA
Pallbearers will be Brandon Boswell, Austin Boswell, Joshua Guerra, Blake Turner, Joshua Boswell, Adolfo Valle-Serrato, George Mahl, and Zachary Boswell.
Honorary pallbearers will be Rodney “Bubba” Boswell, James Boswell, Miguel Hernandez, Justin Boswell, and Greg Boswell.
