Obituary for Rodger Dale Bailey
Rodger Dale Bailey, 70, of Leesville, Louisiana, passed away on Saturday, February 16, 2019 surrounded by his loving family. Rodger was born on May 22, 1948 in DeRidder, Louisiana to Alvie and Gladys Bailey. He spent over 30 years as a civil service employee at Fort Polk, retiring in 2008. He is survived by his devoted wife of 52 years, Peggy Clemons Bailey, three children, Terry Bailey and wife Lori, Kelly Coker and husband, James and Stacey Aversing and husband Joel, four grandchildren, Tyler Vincent and wife, Shandre, Dakota Bailey, Shelby Bailey and Jonah Aversing, two great grandchildren, Ramona and Ruby Vincent. He is also survived by three brothers, Wayne Bailey, Danny Bailey and Ken Bailey and one sister, Denise Bradham. He is preceded in death by his parents. Rodger will be remembered by all that knew him for his steadfast devotion to his family. He was a man of strong faith, never failing in his absolute belief in the power and strength of his Savior, Jesus Christ. Graveside service will be held on Monday, February 18th at 2:00 P.M at the Heritage Rowe Cemetery in Leesville, LA. Pallbearers will be Tyler Vincent, Dakota Bailey, Jonah Aversing, Joel Aversing, James Coker and Elton Ellzey.
