Obituary for Robert Quillian Fancher
Funeral services for Robert Quillian Fancher were held at 4:00 P.M. Saturday, August 8th, 2015 in the Freedom Rest Baptist Church 10302 Hwy 111 South Anacoco, LA. 71403. with Rev. James R. Kay and Rev. Edwin McCullough officiating. Burial will follow in the Beech Grove Cemetery under the direction of Jeane's Funeral Service of Leesville. Visitation will start at 2:00 P.M until service time on Saturday at Freedom Rest Baptist Church. Robert was born September 7th, 1947, to Bob and Lola Ham Fancher in Blanchard, LA. and passed away on August 7th 2015 at the age of 67 years and 11 months at his home in Burr Ferry. He was a loving, supportive, husband, dad, son, brother and uncle. He loved to fish, hunt and work in his garden and was blessed with a special gift of drawing, painting and even carving of God's creatures, animals, and Jesus hanging on his cross. He was a quiet man who never complained, always there to help anyone in need. A Viet Nam Veteran he served his country with courage and dignity and was honorably discharged. After his service in the Army he worked in the logging industry until he was seriously hurt with head and back injuries forcing him to retire. Preceding him in death was his father: Bob Herman Fancher Survivors are his wife of 18 years; Donna Leigh Cotton Fancher of Burr Ferry, LA Two Daughters: Kayla Smith of Pollock, La. and Rhonda Fancher of Burr Ferry, LA. Mother : Lola Agnes Fancher of Burr Ferry, La. Brothers: Jerry Fancher of Burkville, TX ;Roger, Chris, and Joe Fancher all of Burr Ferry, La Sisters: Bobby Brittian of Burr Ferry, LA; Eva Hargrave of St. Augustine, TX; Lillie Olson of Burkville, TX and Vida McGee of Coward, S.C.
