Obituary for Robert James Taylor
A memorial service for Robert James Taylor will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 12, 2021 at Gum Springs Baptist Church with Reverend Nick Hilton officiating.
Robert James, known by family and friends as Jimmy, was born in Limestone, Maine on February 2, 1962. He left this world to be embraced in his mother’s loving arms in Heaven on March 9, 2021. He lived in Many, Louisiana until his early and untimely departure from this world. Jimmy grew up in a loving family in Pasadena, Texas. He lived there most of his life, finally settling in Louisiana (except for time served overseas in the U.S. Army). Jimmy worked mostly as an electrician and later as a truck driver after completing his training. Not only did he graduate from his truck driving school, but he did so with a perfect attendance record.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Addie Christeen Bell Taylor and brother, Lee Joseph Taylor III.
Left to cherish Jimmy’s memory are his father, Lee Joseph Taylor Jr. of Humble, TX,
daughters, Heather Rose Taylor of Hornbeck, LA and Holly Lynn Pennock of Pasadena, TX,
brother, Burl Casey Taylor of Brilliant, AL,
and sister, Virginia Christeen Taylor of Kingwood, TX.
He left his legacy and memory to grandchildren, Kylee Christeen Taylor, Nicholas James Taylor, Denium Rose Osborn, Samson Jerald Osburn, Heather Leighann Pennock, Angela Anias Pennock, Thomas Murlin Floyd, and soon to be born, Michel Wayne Matlock,
and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, other extended family, and endeared friends.
May he find peace and comfort in the company of his mother and brother as they all wait for the next big family reunion.
Honorary pallbearers will be grandsons, Nicholas Taylor, Samson Osborn, and Thomas Floyd and nephews, Andrew Taylor, Matthew Dutcher, and Mitchel Dutcher.
