Funeral services honoring the life of Robert Gerald Northup will be held on Thursday, December 31, 2020, at 11:00 AM at Simpson First Assembly of God with Bro. Tulley Burns and Bro. Buddy Freeman officiating under the direction of Jeane’s Funeral Service.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 31, 2020, from 10:00 AM until time of service at Simpson First Assembly of God, Simpson, LA.
Robert Gerald Northup was born on September 27, 1969, in Maine and passed away on December 28, 2020, at his home in Simpson, LA at the age of 51. Robert was such a loving husband, father, and PawPaw. There was nothing that made him prouder than his son and his grandchildren. He was a man who loved unconditionally and a man who believed in sharing and caring. His heart was so admirable and the strongest man his family had ever seen. Robert would go above and beyond to help someone that needed help. He had a love for the outdoors and was an avid LSU fan.
He is survived by his wife, Shannon Wiggins Northup of Simpson,
son, Jorden Northup and Belle of Simpson
step-son, Ashton Sumney and Jaylnn of Pitkin
6 grandchildren, Braxten Kade Northup, Hudsen Kane Northup, Eli Carson Sumney, Madlynn Grace Sumney, Augutus Blaine Sumney, and Jack Morgan Sumney
brother in law, Joey Wiggins and wife Angie of Simpson
mother-in-law and father-in-law, Louis and Joe Ann Wiggins of Slagle
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the funeral expenses.
