Obituary for Robert "Bob" Lambert Triplett
Robert L. Triplett passed away surrounded by family on Saturday, October 13, 2018.
He was born to Preston and Theta Triplett of Bergoo, West (by God) Virginia. After 21 years in the U.S. Army, he retired to the Vernon Parish area and began a second career teaching at Leesville High School and at the NSU campus at Fort Polk as Military Liaison until retiring again to fishing, traveling, and spending time with family.
Mr. Triplett was preceded in death by his parents and son, Robert Blake Triplett
Mr Triplett is survived by his wife Pat (Martinez) Triplett of Leesville, LA
Daughters: Valerie Arends and husband Robert of Keller, TX and Alison Triplett and husband Sean Robinson of Keller, TX
Son: Richard Triplett and wife Joanie of Victoria, TX
Stepdaughter: Katy (Martinez) Grindal and husband Lance of Houston, TX
The mother of his children: Frances Triplett
Brothers: William (Bill) Triplett of Bergoo, WV and James (Jim) Triplett of Adamsville, OH
Granchildren: Robert Arends Jr. and wife Amanda of Alamogordo, NM; Michael Arends and wife Stephanie of Irving, TX; Marshall, Bonnie, and Holly Triplett of Victoria, TX; and Morgan and Madison Grindal of Houston, TX
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bob’s honor to St. Michaels Building Fund or Ladies Circle or to the military scholarship fund (Purple Shield) for NSU. The address for Purple Shield is NSU Leesville Campus, Attn: Martha Koury 3329 University Parkway, Leesville, LA 71446.
A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 16, 2018, at St. Michael’s Catholic Church with Father Michiels officiating. Pallbearers will be Lance Grindal, Robert Arends, Richard Triplett, Joe McKee, Jerry DePerrodil, and Jerry Spoor. An interment service with military honors will be held at the Central Louisiana Veterans Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 17th.
A visitation for the family and friends of Mr. Triplett will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p,m. at St. Michael’s Church on Monday, October 15th. A rosary service will begin at 5:30 p.m.
