Ricky was born on October 9, 1959, and passed away on March 24, 2017, at the age of 57. Ricky loved the outdoors – especially being on the Sabine River. He loved spending a beautiful day outside with his family. His children were his pride and joy. Some of his happiest moments in life were watching his girls play softball and teaching his son, Rick, to hunt. Rick, was the apple of his eye, his very best friend. He loved his parents, brother, and sister with all his heart, but his dad and mom held a special place in his heart. Ricky was the most humble, kind hearted man. All who knew him loved him, and he will be greatly missed.
Left to cherish his memory are his parents, William and Joann Kay of Burr
Son: Ricky Jared Kay of Burr Ferry, LA
Daughters: Jessica Kay, Lacy Fox and husband John all of Burr Ferry, LA
Brother: Homer Kay of Burr Ferry
Sister: Donnice Hopson and husband Prentice of Burkeville, TX
Grandchildren: Kelby, Cayden, Dylan, Trace, Kayleigh, Eli, Jaci, and Kylan
Someone who remained very dear to him was his “Ang” the mother of his three children.
A host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
