Obituary for Reginald Gerald Farris
Our precious daddy, husband, brother, and consummate protector received his heavenly wings on September 10, 2018. We will miss his so, but happy his earthly struggles are over. Reggie was loved by all who knew him.
Reggie spent his career in the military. He was proud to serve his country for 21 years and then had an additional career with Sikorsky. He retired from both careers. His biggest accomplishment was a lifetime service to our Lord and Savior. He was an active member of his church, mason, and Gideon member. He would help anyone in need. If he was a friend, he was a dedicated friend for life.
Reggie leaves behind his wife, Shirley Farris. He was devoted to her like no other. Left with a hole in her heart is Reggie’s pride, joy, and misery at times, daughter, Jo Farris Doyal (Larry). Reggie’s precious pet DT is still looking around the house for him. Reggie also leaves behind a sister, Glenda Hink and nephews Ron and Steve Kennedy along with his most beloved niece, Jill D. Cantrell.
As heavens gates opened wide, Reginald “Reggie” Farris was greeted by our Lord and Savior and his father, Leo Farris and momma, Bashe Farris.
Daddy is singing with the angels! Keep singing daddy and save momma and me a place in the choir.
A graveside service for Mr. Farris will be held at 2:00 p.m. in Beckham Cemetery in Hornbeck, LA under the direction of Jeane’s Funeral Service.
