Obituary for Raymond Shelton Bonner
Raymond Shelton Bonner was born on November 4, 1947, in Quitman, MS, to Amos Walker and Bernice Collins Bonner. He passed away at home on April 15, 2021, in Leesville, LA surrounded by his loving family at the age of 73. Raymond was raised in Leesville, LA most of his life. He later joined the military and served his country for 24 years. He was also a Vietnam Veteran. He later worked at Ft. Polk and retired two years ago. Mr. Bonner loved his family, and family always came first. He loved to garden and spend time working in his yard. He was a wonderful husband, father, and granddad.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one sister.
He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Patricia McCullough Bonner of Leesville,
daughters, Princess Bonner of Leesville, and Lisa Manning of Anacoco,
grandchildren, Sydney Bonner of Leesville, Kirsten Manning Sanson and husband Ryan of Anacoco, and Dalton Manning of Anacoco. His grandchildren considered him to be their dad, rather than their grandad, since he was the strong father figure in their life.
Extended family that loved him as their own granddad, Ryan, Justin, Janae, Brianna, and Lyndsey.
The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.
