Obituary for Raymond Dean Burns
Funeral services for Raymond Dean Burns will be held at Castor Baptist Church, 2057 Slagle Road, Leesville, LA on October 17, 2017, with Bro. Walter Collins officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery under the direction of Jeane’s Funeral Service. Visitation will be at 1:00 p.m. and the service will be at 2:00 p.m.
Raymond was born on November 3, 1939, and went home to Heaven on October 16, 2017.
Preceding Raymond in death were his mother, Una Spurgeon Burns, two brothers, Elmo Burns and Cletus Burns, and one sister, Helen Burns. He was also preceded in death by his beloved Aunt Vernie Spurgeon and his beloved Uncle Edward and Aunt Lois Spurgeon.
He is survived by his sister, Joy Etheleen Burns of Leesville and his cousins Rebecca and Sandra Spurgeon of Leesville, Jane and Jerry Delaney of Lafayette, Lois Spurgeon, Leah Power, her husband Tab and son Tab all of Leesville. He was loved by all who knew him.
The family wishes to thank all of his caregivers for their everloving supporting care, especially Tommie West, Bob Spillers, Rena Coker, Cheyenne Spillers, Petra Michalski, Katrina Brinson, Omar McLendon, and Kristen Shutler.
