Obituary for Raymond Darrell Beabout
A graveside service for Raymond Darrell Beabout will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, September 27, 2021, in Comrade Cemetery, Comrade Cemetery Road in Simpson, with Reverend Larry Vaughn officiating under the direction of Jeane’s Funeral Service.
Raymond was born August 6, 1956, in Killeen, TX and passed away September 22, 2021, in Palestine, TX at the age of 65. He enjoyed his job as a truck driver and many know him by his CB handle, “Big Tex”. In his earlier days, Raymond was a member of a truck club called “Beds Inc.”. He also liked to work on cars and soup them up as street rods. Raymond was goodhearted and loved his girls.
Raymond was preceded in death by his father, John Gaines; brother, Alan Beabout; and former brother-in-law, Kevin Martin.
Those left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Michelle Beabout of Leesville, LA, Krystal Moreno and husband Justin of Leesville, LA, and Shannon Vargas and husband Luis of New Llano, LA;
grandchildren, Skylar Beabout, Colin Beabout, Emily Hext, Alyssa Beabout, Brayden Vargas, Jaden Richmand, Jayden Vargas, and Haisley Vargas;
mother, Evonne Gaines;
half-sister, Sandra Morris
former mother-in-law, Lawanda Crager;
former brother-in-law, Durwin Martin;
and a host of step grandchildren, step great grandchildren, and extended family.
