Obituary for Ralph William Coleman Jr.
Visitation for family and friends honoring the life of Ralph William Coleman, Jr. will be held on Tuesday, September 11, 2018, at Jeane’s Funeral Chapel from 5:00 – 9:00 PM.
Burial will take place at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Virginia at a later date.
Ralph William Coleman, Jr. was born on May 24, 1944 in Rockaway, CT to Ralph and Gladys Coleman. He passed away on September 6, 2018 in Alexandria, LA at the age of 74. Ralph joined the military and while stationed at Ft. Benning, GA, he met the love of his life, Bonnie Kay Coleman. He served three tours in Vietnam and afterwards performed consular duties in Sinup, Turkey and Peru. Also, he was a casualty assistance officer in Ft. Devins, MA before arriving at Ft. Polk, LA. He ran the AER office and ACS, and later retired after 24 years. Ralph was a member of the VFW 3106, American Legion #145, and the NRA. He loved to fish and was a member of the Bass Association. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by loving wife, son: Ronald, parents, and sister: Anita.
He is survived by his sons: Donald Coleman and fiancée, Donna of Anacoco, LA and John Coleman and wife Jana of Killeen, TX
Daughters: Tiffany Bean of LA, Bianca Good of FL, and Heather Boone of TX
Grandchildren: Rachel and Chris Coleman, Colt and James Whimpy and Caitlyn Wallace
