Obituary for Rachel Lynn Beard
Funeral services for Rachel Lynn Beard will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 21, 2017, at Hornbeck United Pentecostal Church, 1273 Hammond St. Hornbeck, LA, with Reverend Steven Lora officiating under the direction of Jeane’s Funeral Service. Burial will follow in Self Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 20, 2017, at Hornbeck United Pentecostal Church.
Rachel was born on March 27, 1971, and passed away on June 17, 2017, at the age of 46. Rachel loved going to church and was of the Pentecostal faith. She loved to cook and read her Bible. Rachel was the rock of her family and loved spending time with them. They will miss her very much. Rachel will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.
Her parents, Lindsey Beard and Katherine Josey Kemp, preceded her in death.

Daughters: Chasity Beard; Chelsey Beard both of Many, LA; Jennifer Williams; Brittany Young; and Ebony Young all of Plaquemine, LA
Brothers: Steven Beard and wife Rosalie and Timothy Beard Sr. and wife Tammanice both of Florien, LA
Sister: Shirley Spears and husband Leroy of Florien, LA
Grandchildren: Katherine Beard and Kaythan Beard
Nephews: Steven Beard Jr., Lindsey Ray Beard Sr. and wife Sunny, Timothy Beard Jr., Timothy Dewayne Beard, Noah Beard, and Cameron Beard Spears
Nieces: Skylar Beard, Stephanie Beard, Christine Beard, Mary Beard, Jasmine Beard, and Shayla Beard Spears
