Cole was born December 10, 1990, in Natchitoches, LA and passed away July 4, 2022, in Anacoco, LA at the age of 31. He attended Simpson High School where he met his high school sweetheart, Chelsea, whom he adored. He was the Thompson Family’s very own Master Chef and took pride in maintaining a well-manicured yard and an immaculate home. At work, he believed in giving the best of himself for an honest 12 hours—he would not be out-worked. Between attempts to teach Chelsea to back his boat down the ramp and removing backlash for his boys, casting a line in Toledo Bend was one of his favorite past-times. He also loved duck hunting in the Marsh, but only when it was cold enough for the mosquitoes to hibernate.
The only thing he loved more than that was his wife, Chelsea. Likewise, Cole was the love of Chelsea’s life. At the ripe age of 15 years old, Chelsea was captivated by his charm and snazzy style. Soon after, they both knew that God had been preparing their hearts to be bonded for eternity. Cole and Chelsea shared a love for each other that was constant and unconditional.
Cole had a giver's heart and saw the best in people. He was a man of few words with an easy going manner and a winsome—sometimes wry—smile. His disarming personality allowed others to feel accepted regardless of their status or station in life.
Cole was his daddy’s best friend, his Mama’s baby boy, and a proud, loving father who pushed his boys to be the version of themselves. His baby girl, Hayven Cole, was the perfect addition to their family, and she held a very special place in her daddy’s heart. Cole was the baby of the family and consequently if you messed with him, you had to answer to Ashley and Candace. They loved their brother dearly, like only big sisters can.
Cole was preceded in death by his grandparents, Earl K. Hillman and Steven & Dona “Bat” Thompson; father-in-law, Lynn Lusk; and nephew, Braydon Bennett.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Chelsea Thompson of Anacoco, LA;
children, Luke, Landry, Gunnar, and Hayven Thompson;
parents, Quintin and Liz Thompson of Leesville, LA;
sisters, Ashley Norris (Wesley) of Simpson, LA and Candace Thompson (Cody) of Leesville;
